Varian delivers high-stability temperature regulation
and variable temperature (VT) control for all sample types.
Varian VT modules achieve stability of +/− 0.1 °C
from −4 to +60 °C at the NMR probe when used with Varian VT
liquids probes and laboratory air preconditioning.
The actual VT performance is limited by the temperature range of the probe.
Standard VT Module
The Standard VT Module provides computer-controlled
liquid sample temperature management, between −150
to +250 °C with 0.1 °C resolution. This module
also provides computer-contolled solid sample temperature management
between −125 to +125 °C with 0.1 °C
resolution.
Extended Range VT Module
The Extended Range VT Module provides computer-contolled
liquid and solid sample temperature management between −150
and +250 °C with 0.1 °C resolution. This unit
is compatible with all Varian liquid and solid sample probes.
Additional VT Accessories
Standard cooling unit
Its 5 l dewar can be filled with ice water/salt mixture or liquid nitrogen to record NMR spectra at low temperatures.
Extended duration VT dewar (liquids)
A 50 l liquid nitrogen dewar provides cold gas for long-term, low-temperature operation for liquid samples.
Preconditioning unit
Delivers refrigerated or heated air of −40 to +50 °C (standard unit) or −80 to +50 °C (extended VT unit)
Solids VT upper barrel stack
Allows exact temperature control of solid-state samples while maintaining stable, high-speed sample spinning.
Solids low-temperature dewar
Long-term, low-temperature sample cooling for solids samples.
